Many times, people ask us how to print or export to PDF OKRs in Gtmhub. The typical use cases include sending progress as an attachment in an e-mail or printing OKRs for a meeting.

In this post, I am going to outline different ways in which Gtmhub supports these use cases. Depending on your exact scenario, you can choose the approach that fits you best.

Printing OKRs with alignment

The first scenario is to simply print or export to PDF all the Objectives, Key Results, their attainments, and hierarchy.

Generally, you will want to use this when you want to provide only most important, high-level information – without all the details. Perhaps you want to send this as a PDF to your manager or investors.

To print this view, follow these steps:

  • Log in to Gtmhub
  • Go to OKRs section
  • Go to Alignment tab
  • Select Nested view, which is best suited for printing
  • Toggle the Include Key Results button, if you wish to also print key results – along with objectives
  • Go to File > Print or press Command + P on the keyboard

Gtmhub will automatically exclude all the UI elements so that you will print only the OKRs. If you don’t wish to print all of the OKRs, you can collapse them in the UI – only the visible OKRs will be printed.

Printing personal OKRs or team OKRs

The second scenario is when you wish to print all of your own OKRs or all the OKRs for your team. The basic difference in this scenario is that you are not interested in alignment, but rather you want to print a subset of OKRs and include specific information about it.

To print this view, follow these steps.

  • Log in to Gtmhub
  • Go to OKRs section
  • Use Filter by Assignee, Search or Tags functionality to narrow the scope of OKRs. For example, you could display only your OKRs, only OKRs containing the word “sales” or only OKRs tagged with tag “revenue”
  • Go to File > Print or press Command + P on the keyboard

You can further modify this view, by deciding which columns you wish to include and in which order. To modify the columns, click on the Grid options button, then click on the Rearrange columns for expanded view link.

In this dialog, you can toggle the visibility of the columns by clicking on the eye icon or rearrange the order by dragging the columns. Once again, only the visible OKRs and columns on the screen will be printed.

Exporting OKRs to Excel

Similar to printing flat OKRs, you can also export all or some of your OKRs to Excel or Google Sheets.

The benefit of exporting OKRs to Excel or Google Sheets is that you can edit the document after the export. Once you are done, you can, obviously, print it, share it or send it as an attachment.

To export OKRs to Excel or Google Sheets follow these steps.

  • Click on the Grid options button
  • Click on the Export to Excel (beta) button

Your browser will automatically download an excel file. If you wish to use Google Sheets, you can import the downloaded file into Google Sheets.
